Sell what you make? For example, results vary: at a $20 an hour labor rate you choose, catching two shop hours a quote would have left out is $40, more than the kit costs. The Job Costing sheet is built to catch exactly that.
Get measurably better at the metal shop one week at a time, from a scribed line to a threaded, finished part, and know what each part costs you before you put a price on it.
Replaces random project-hopping, a price set from the stock receipt alone, and a safety plan that lives in your head.

Who it's for
- Anyone with a mini lathe or a drill press who wants a plan instead of random projects
- Anyone selling brackets, openers, knives, parts or repairs who has never worked out the real cost per part
- Anyone about to start welding or brazing who wants the fire watch, fume and filter shade rules on one page
- Anyone who drills and taps often enough to want the tap drills and drill speeds on the wall
Who made this
Built by the MetalShopCalc team, the people behind this site's free speeds and feeds, tap drill and metal weight calculators and its three priced shop builds. Cutting data comes from the site's own published-standard tables; safety rules cite OSHA, ANSI Z87.1, ANSI Z49.1 and AWS A3.0. Researched, not professional advice.

Questions
How do I get it?
Pay on the secure Stripe checkout and you land straight on your download page: the full PDF, a ZIP of every sheet as its own printable page, and the companion spreadsheet. Bookmark that page to download again later.
Do I need a lathe, a mill or a welder?
No. Level 1 needs a drill press or even a hand drill, a saw, files and a caliper. The lathe weeks and the welding week say what they need, and the welding week has a brazing path for shops without a welder.
Does it really pay for itself?
For example, results vary: one quote re-priced after the Job Costing sheet caught hours left out, or one wrong alloy not bought after the strategy sheet, is the usual way a kit like this pays for itself once. That is not a promise, and the payback tracker is where you write the specific catch down.
Is this a welding certification course?
No. The joining week is practice for your own parts. Qualification for structural work is done to a code such as AWS D1.1 through an accredited test.
What if it is not what I expected?
Use the whole kit. If it does not help, fill in the refund form within 30 days and you get every dollar back. No questions asked.
Does this replace the free calculators on the site?
No, it works with them. A calculator answers one number and forgets it. The kit keeps your machines, your practice results, your costs and your safety checks together on paper, and points at the online buyer guide for current prices.
